Meet our Founder

Hi, I’m Kayvan, and I started MathEdge Tutoring because I know what it’s like to struggle with math.. and to completely turn that story around.

In high school, I had a hard time with math, along with several other subjects. It felt frustrating, discouraging, and at times, impossible. But everything changed when I learned the right tools and strategies for how to study, stay focused, and truly understand the material. Once I figured out how to work with my own learning style, not only did my grades improve but I also developed a deep interest in math itself.

That spark soon turned into a genuine passion. By the time I reached college, I had gone from dreading math to serving as a teaching assistant for advanced calculus and algebra, subjects I once thought were out of my reach. Later, during my Master of Science in Data and Analytics, I applied those same mathematical concepts at a higher, more practical level. Over the past 12 years, I’ve worked with countless students, continually refining a proven approach that combines personalized instruction with real-world applications, making math both understandable and relevant.

Today, my mission is to share that approach with as many people in our community as possible. I’ve built a small but growing team of like-minded tutors who share my passion for making math engaging, relevant, and confidence-building. Together, we’re here to help students not only improve their grades, but also develop skills and habits that will serve them for life.
